Typography Book Project

My first project I did for 2nd year graphic design was a typography book project called 'Just My Type'. This project required me to interview ten people including myself, asking questions like what our likes and dislikes are, and choosing a quote that best describes us. I then had to design a ten double page spread book containing each person's quote and design style in it.

My concept was about condensed space and dislikes. I placed each person's quote on the one page and a typography design containing oppposites and dislikes of their quote on the other page. I designed different variations of line running through and out from their quotes; each representing their design style.

Below, you can see examples of my book in double spread page form. I encourage readers to critique my designs as honest as possible, as I would like to gain more feed back from the public.

FRONT & BACK COVER

  1. i think if you had the front cover with the heavy type like you did in the book it would have encapsulated your theme better. I like The textures you've used inside your book it creates interest and the trace paper adds to it.
